Limp Bizkit aus tour 2023 has offically concluded

The American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida wrapped up their Australian tour last night in Melbourne, with frontman Fred Durst initially coming onstage to announce that he has been sick, he stated that he had been 'seriously under the weather for the last three days' experiencing a chest cough that moved to his head, body aches, chills, and his doctor had advised him not to play the show. But Durst was still walking and breathing so he ended his rant, no pun intended, with 'i feel like shit, and uh, my suggestion is to keep your distance ok, cause i am dangerous.' before starting the bands set off with their most memorable track 'Break Stuff'
The tour consisted of 3 festival dates and 5 sideshows, starting late November with a quick stop in japan with Japanese metalcore band Hanabie who then joined them in New Zealand, and then Hordern Pavillion Sydney before they both set off for Good things festival, Australia. The festival kicked off in Melbourne on December 1st at the Flemmington Racecourse alongside the other two headliners Devo and Fall Out Boy, with the remaining lineup including names such as Corey Taylor, Sepultura, Slaughter To Prevail, Behemoth, and 20+ more. LB's set was predicted to be affected by rain but had not been hit by a drop of it, running smooothly until a young girl had suffered from a seizure in the crowd. The band stopped the show and Durst rushed to the side of the stage to ensure she was ok before medics safely took her to first aid and the show continued. We got classic set lists from them both Fridays in Melborne, opening and closing with the well-known 'Break Stuff' and keeping the rest of the set list within the second two albums Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish and The Hotdog Flavoured water, with the exception of a few covers.
After the initial show in Melbourne the band continued on with Good things festival in Sydney, Centennial Park, with another classic set list opening and closing with 'Break Stuff' that also featured a Pantera cover and a cover of Limp Bizkit's own Dj Lethal's track 'Jump Around' from the debut album of his previous band, House Of Pain. They were lucky to be scheduled before Fall Out Boy as minutes into FOB's set the thousands of attendees at the festival were told to evacuate Centennial Park and a message on the big screen warned people not to shelter under trees after organisers were forced to cancel the event due to a thunderstorm that had swept into Sydney's eastern suburbs.
The band then hit Brisbane Good Things Festival with a similar old school set list to the other dates, exclusively featuring tracks off their second two albums and the show seems to have run smoothly. they continued a few days later with a sideshow at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall with a more diverse set list, opening with 'Dirty Rotten Bizkit' off of their latest album, Limp Bizkit Still Sucks. Including the first half of 'Pollution' a few songs in, and a cover of 'Killing In The Name Of' by one of frontman Fred Durt's favourite bands, Rage Against The Machine. Before finally finishing off the tour last night with the previously mentioned sideshow at Melbourne's John Cain Arena.
