Cory Marks Teams Up With Sully Erna Of Godsmack, Mick Mars And Travis Tritt On “(Make My) Country Rock”

Cory Marks is set to release his highly anticipated second full-length album, Sorry For Nothing, on October 11 via Better Noise Music. The album delivers a powerful punch with 13 tracks that seamlessly blend Marks' signature arena-rock and roots country sound, drawing comparisons to artists like Eric Church, Zach Bryan, Hardy, and Brantley Gilbert.

Leading up to the album’s release, Marks has unveiled the unapologetic track "(Make My) Country Rock," which features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Sully Erna of Godsmack, legendary guitarist Mick Mars of Mötley Crüe, and country music icon Travis Tritt. Produced by Andrew Baylis (known for his work with Jelly Roll and Brantley Gilbert), the song is a rallying cry for fans of both country and rock. It kicks off with the defiant line, “I’ve been known to piss some people off / From the Sunset Strip to small town honky tonks / I’ve been behind both kinds of bars,” and the chorus boldly declares, “Ain’t ever gonna stop / I’m gonna make my country rock.”

Reflecting on the track, Marks says, “What can I say…I’m country, I’m rock. That’s exactly what this song is and what I sing about. It may piss people off, but I know a lot more listeners out there are gonna be happier when they hear it. I can say that my friends and features on this track agree too! I’m gonna make my country rock!”

Sorry For Nothing follows Marks' successful debut album Who I Am, which produced the hit single “Outlaws & Outsiders.” This track made history by becoming the first-ever Top 10 rock radio-charting single from a Canadian country act, reaching #1 on Billboard’s “Rock Digital Song Sales” chart and #5 on iTunes “Country Songs” chart in the U.S.

Produced by a team of heavy hitters, including longtime collaborator Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Shania Twain, Papa Roach), Kile Odell (Nita Strauss, David Draiman), and Andrew Baylis, Sorry For Nothing offers a diverse range of sounds.
