Silverstein '25 Years Of Noise' at Northcote Theatre Live Review

-
After two decades of defining post-hardcore, Silverstein kicked off their long-awaited Australian headline tour at a sold out show in Melbourne on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025. Titled the 25 Years of Noise Tour, the run marks a milestone in the Canadian band’s career, and it's their first time headlining in Australia since their early 2010s visits. While fans caught a glimpse of them in 2023 when they supported The Amity Affliction, this time, the spotlight was entirely theirs, with Melbourne's own Wayside opening the night and American emo-driven pop punk band Real Friends bringing the energy up to another level, Silverstein took the stage to a crowd eager to honour 25 years of emotionally charged post-hardcore anthems, emo bangers, and heartfelt singalongs.
Surprisingly, there was seemingly no line outside the venue around two hours before doors opened. An hour before the crowd was let inside, emos, metalheads, and music lovers had gathered to form a queue stretching around the corner of the building.
